When a fire destroyed the original Portland Golf Club clubhouse near today's 7th tee, the club faced a big decision about its future. Citing better transportation access and a chance for a longer course layout, the greens committee proposed a new 18-hole course with a clubhouse conveniently located near the Raleigh Links Station on the interurban rail line.
In those early days Portland Golf Club was also referred to "Raleigh Links" or the "Raleigh Station Links".
High resolution museum standard giclée print on textured fine art paper.
